I'm Baaaaaaaack!

Ladies and Gents... I'm back!

After taking what I like to think of as a sick week.. I'm back! And oh so happy to be back!

I spent all of last week basically crawling from bed to couch, laying in a snowbank throwing a frisbee to a not-so-sick pooch, and eating cereal because I couldn't stand long enough to cook anything. It.Was.Rough.

But its in the past and I'm back feeling fabulous! The kind of fabulous you feel after a 2-week long vacation to Mexico. Well, sans tan.

Anywho - I've been feeling fairly productive with my new-found health. Its finally time to begin training for the triathlon - and I'm so ready to do so! :) Yesterday I went out and bought myself a little thang called EA Active for our PS3. Hubs ALMOST burst my bubble when he told me we needed some additional thingy four our PS3 to make it work, but he was mistaken and had to suffer the wrath of some death stares for his mistake. Don't fret, all is well again! My plan is to use the game when I'm stuck at home because of crappy weather, or to use it on the days I'm not at the gym.

Since we got our new pooch, I've been really struggling to find time to go to the gym. I feel so guilty leaving her home all day when N. and I are at work, then leaving her again when I go to the gym in the evening. Buuuut I think I've figured out my solution - I am going to head to the gym as soon as I am outta work, 3 days per week, without stopping home. I can get in a solid 30-60 minute training session and still make it home by 5:30 - 6:00 pm. That will leave me lots of at-home time too.

So, whats the training plan you ask?
3 days of running
1 day of swimming
Spinning whenever for now
EA Active on days when I don't run, and some days that I do run.

After I can run a 5k again, then I will split the biking and running a little more - but I need to focus on running for now. Once it is warm out again, I'll be running and biking outside. I can't wait for that to happen... the winter blues are starting to kick in a bit over here.

Do any of you have any thoughts? ... Better training ideas.. any input is always appreciated! :)
