All The Little Things..

Wedding time has officially arrived.

One week from today I will be boarding a plane with high hopes of no delays, and with my Ipod, carry-on full of girly magazines, a hooded sweatshirt, and fiance in tow.

I'm excited to see the whole family, fiance's whole family, and all of our friends. And for what we are paying for it... it had better be the best damn party of our lives.

But with throwing the biggest bash Bay City has ever seen comes all the little things.

Today I had a great debate on the phone. It was with my "Cake Lady" and it was regarding if we should have 1 or 2 mini-desserts per person. She won. We are having 2 per person.

That was fine. Then she asked me what I was going to be putting all these fabulous little mini pieces of heaven on. To which I sat in silence for a moment and said.. "I don't know.. do you provide platters...?" Turns out she doesn't... Doubletree... Lets hope you do, my friend.

I also had a phone conversation with my mother. She brought up many little topics I hadn't thought about while I had my head in the clouds thinking about f*in' up my vows or running around with greens stuck in my teeth at the reception.

She asked me who would escort my G*ma down the aisle at church? My older brothers is the answer.. in case you were curious.

She also mentioned that I needed to call the place we rented table runners from - I had forgotten about that. That might be a tomorrow project folks.

Two questions... why oh why are there so many little details? Don't people know I just want to go to the gym and to the tanner after work the week before the wedding... and I'd like to nap in there too?

And why don't the wedding vendors either call you to remind you that something is due that you agreed to 7 months ago!? I have a working e-mail address too, just in case they hate phone contact.

I'm just sayin... I think it's kinda weird is all.
